Rafkor Enterprises Inc. was founded by Raf Korkowski in 2010 and operated as a proprietorship until incorporating in July, 2013. A little about myself…

I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba where I attended the I.H Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba, majoring in finance. My first business experience was related to various executive and administrative roles with several provincial sport organizations (PSO’s) in the province of Manitoba. During this time, I also worked closely with my father, who himself operated a small business providing elite training opportunities to high performance athletes.

In 2004, I began the next chapter of my life in Nanaimo, British Columbia, working with Coastal Community Credit Union as a consumer lender. During this time I continued my professional development at the Malaspina College/Vancouver Island University, supplementing my knowledge of finance with accounting and business law. In 2007, I began working directly with small businesses as a commercial account manager with Forest & Marine Financial Group. This position provided great exposure to security valuation, contract analysis, portfolio management, and business assessment. It was here that I acquired an interest in equipment appraisal, business valuation and the efficiency of small business operations.

I resigned from my position with Forest and Marine in 2009, to spend time at home with my family and complete the Rafkor business plan. Since then, we have worked hard to create numerous new partnerships and expand business networks in our community. By offering a wide range of professional services to local retailers, manufacturers, services providers and contractors we have increased our overall capacity to assist business owners and help them reach their goals.

My team feels very fortunate to have the support and resources available to position Rafkor as a service provider that can make a difference in the community. We welcome the opportunity to share and implement our knowledge, insight and experience with anyone that has business needs, plans and goals.
